You made a New Year’s resolution

You’re gonna break it pretty fast

It's just my New Year's intitution

So when you go telling me ‘bout your self-discipline

My sister, you’re gonna be taking it on the chin

You’ll drop it pretty quick

You’re commitment, it won’t stick

It’s just a mental trick

You say you found a new solution

You’re never gonna lose that fat

You say it’s in the execution

Well, you know

You’ll never make that tummy flat

So when you go talkin’ about your new diet craze

I’m telling you that it will last about thirty days

You know it is a waste

This plan

‘Cause you love that dessert taste

Pie that’s pecan

So you’ll never trim that waist

Oh, man

You say you joined the fitness center

Well, you know

You won’t be ‘round there very long

You’ll lose the money that you spent there

Because you know

You never wanted to belong

So come along just about Valentine’s day

You won’t be darkening those doors any way

The Y didn’t make you glad

Just hypertensive

It’s just another fad

Extensive

You’ll find that you’ve been had

Expensive
