S.P.I.R.I.T.U.A.L.
(To the tune of C.H.R.I.S.T.M.A.S.)
When
I was a young preacher
Spiritual
meant one thing
That
I'd use King James English when I pray
But
I learned much different
When
my pastor sat me down
And taught me to spell "spiritual" this
way:
S is for the SERMON, forty minutes long
P is for the PULPIT at the front
I's
for ILLUSTRATION
R means RANDOM blessing (that's pot-luck)
I means I'm the
PREACHER at the front
T
is for the TITHE and missions offering
U is for the yoUTH
asleep in back
A is for ANNOUNCEMENTS
L's our LOCAL church
And
that's how you spell "spiritual"
