The
Theologian Song
I
just came into town to learn about theology
I'm
gonna hit those books real hard and study faithfully
And
get as many volumes as will fit upon my shelf
While
I give to the college all my wealth
And
I'm gonna be a theologian
Just
ask me any question and I'll tell you what to do
I'm
gonna have the answers to the questions people have
And
tell everybody what's true
I'll
know how many lions were in good old Daniel's den
And
what the minimum wage was for Jewish fishermen
I'll
exegete and homilete and hermeneut
so neat
So
I can answer questions like, How much did Luke pay for
malpractice insurance?
And
I'm gonna be a theologian...
I'll
get those fancy letters at the end of my name
And
write a book or two just to add to my fame
And
teach at the greatest institution in the land
Cause
by then I'll really understand
And
I'll make you a theologian
So
they can ask you any question and you'll tell them what to do
You're
gonna have the answers to the questions people have
And
tell everybody what's true
Cause
I'm gonna be a theologian...
Just
ask me any question and I'll tell you what to do
I'm
gonna have the answers to the questions people have
And
I'll tell YOU what is true
