I Ride Alone

I ride a country road

I take a turn from one that I have known

Don't know were it goes

But it's pretty here and I ride alone

I ride this empty farm road

See the cows and barns along the side

Where the city's gone

And I'm the only one and I ride alone

I ride alone I ride alone

I ride alone and I ride a-

My shadows the only one that rides beside me

My monitor tells me that my heart is beating

I ride some places where no one will find me

'Till then I'll ride alone

Ah..ah..

I ride beside the line

And hope the cars saw the "Share the Road" sign

But I keep away from the edge

And yes I ride alone

Drink some water here

Camera's out and pictures' what I take

Check my average here leave the cell phone home

I ride alone

I ride alone I ride alone

I ride alone and I ride a-

My shadows the only one that rides beside me

My monitor tells me that my heart is beating

I ride some places where no one will find me

'Till then I'll ride alone

Ah..ah..

I ride alone and I ride a-

I feel the quiteness

Hear the birds and feel the breezes blown

Though I see no one

When I ride I know I'm not alone

My God is always there right beside me

We talk about whatever and I feel Him guide me

You know that's why I ride places no one can find me

That's why I'm not alone

I wrote this about what my wife, Terry, does on her rides.
